On 25 February 2026, the Ambassador, H.E. Dr. Margaret Mieiwen Chebere, paid a courtesy call on the Representative of the Faroe Islands in the Kingdom of Denmark, Mr. Gunnar Holm-Jacobsen. The productive meeting was marked by a warm exchange of pleasantries and a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation. Discussions focused on potential collaboration in Fisheries and aquaculture, renewable energy, fish processing, and marine research, with the Faroese side expressing readiness to share its extensive experience in sustainable fisheries management and salmon aquaculture.

The engagement also looked ahead to a prospective visit by Ghana’s Minister for Fisheries to the Faroe Islands, which would further advance dialogue and explore a concrete partnership between the two sides.
